In the past 15 years, the sector has evolved from technical recommendations to the European-level standardization of all aspects that make up the industry: light sources, power supply equipment, luminaires, lighting design projects, and installations.

Asselum has grown in this environment, currently providing solutions in luminaire design, testing of light sources and luminaires, lighting engineering training, and the sale and support of optical design and lighting calculation software.

Currently, Asselum is one of the most important photometry laboratories in Spain, having conducted over 10,000 tests on all types of light sources.

One of our fundamental pillars is training in theoretical and applied lighting engineering for all types of audiences, offering courses and lectures in schools, universities, and also within companies.
